Season 1, Episode 9.

Incredible Edible Leeds is a group with a bit of a difference. Rather than existing as a growing group, they operate as an enabling organisation supporting 25 smaller Incredible Edible groups across the city of Leeds. 

In this episode, group director Dan sits down to tell us all about how he went from wanting to grow some veggies outside his home, to working with a small, dedicated team of volunteers to provide centralised support that has paved the way for growing groups to spring up all over the place with relative ease. 

Their model supports groups with insurance, local networks, working with the council and a range of shared technical and paperwork support – the very bits that many fledgeling food growing groups would rather not have to deal with!

Our new podcast series, called The Power Of Small Actions, is being released over the summer of 2026, each one featuring one of our Incredible Edible groups, with the story of what drives them and how they are changing the world one seed at a time.
