Join the next Right to Grow Learning Network

By Incredible Edible

Join us on Mach 20th from 3-4pm for our next Right to Grow Learning Network call! Reserve a space on Eventbrite.

Securing a Right to Grow in the UK is all about making land more accessible to community groups for urban food growing, and enhancing the relationship between citizen and state. Mapping can be an instrumental part of that process, helping communities and local authorities to identify suitable land and where there is un-tapped potential to build community through food growing and supporting biodiversity.

The Right to Grow Learning Network, hosted by Incredible Edible, is here to help facilitate conversations among UK-based community members, councils, and policy makers to help communities confidently adopt Right to Grow policies. Everyone is welcome to come and listen, join the conversation and share their experiences.

This Learning Network call will be focusing on community mapping, and how communities and local authorities can work together to bring the potential of our public spaces to life. Dr Mikey Tomkins, a specialist in urban mapping for food, will be joining us to lead the session.

There will be time during the session for feedback on what needs we can support through the learning network, and we will keep the call open beyond 4pm to facilitate any further discussion on mapping with Mikey, for those keen to discuss it more.

To keep up to date on future Right to Grow Learning Network calls please sign up to Incredible Edible’s Right to Grow mailing list, and join our discussion group on facebook.
