And hot on the heels of helping to set up the new mini orchard on Barlow Rd, is our next tidying and weeding session. And there is a lot of weeding to do... nettles mostly (not in the photo!), which have started to dominate our little woodland border on the train station car park. Nettles are great, but... check out the hellebores! There may be plants to add too. We LOVE plants. ... meet us next to Levenshulme Market's container on // WEDNESDAY 10TH APRIL AT 18:30PM // We usually work for an hour or so, and then go for a drink :-)Photos from Incredible Edible Levenshulme's postwww.facebook.com
Great session with Manchester Friends of The Earth and Levenshulme WI on Saturday: look at the mini orchard we created together... roll on summer when we should get a small bounty of apples, plums and cob nuts (and lots more in subsequent years!)Photos from Incredible Edible Levenshulme's postwww.facebook.com
Beautiful and functional flowers on our 'Bee Embankment' yesterday. Just a reminder that the embankment is not a children's play area - unfortunately lots of our bee friendly flowers are being trampled on Saturdays, when the market takes place :-( Please help us to feed the bees!Photos from Incredible Edible Levenshulme's postwww.facebook.com
HELP to prepare the site and plant a mini orchard; a new collaboration for us, organised by Levenshulme WI and Manchester Friends of The Earth. The first session is this coming Saturday, 16th March.
